Day 1: Ngamba Island Chimps Tour
A driver will pick you up from the hotel or residence in the morning. From there, you will be driven to the pier in Entebbe and board a boat to Ngamba Island. The boat ride offers
scenic views of Lake Victoria and takes about 45 minutes. Upon arrival at Ngamba Island, you will be welcomed with a briefing about the sanctuary and its residents. During the visit, you will observe the chimpanzees during their feeding time. This provides a great opportunity to see their social interactions and behaviors up close. The sanctuary staff will also share insights into the lives of these chimps and the efforts being made to ensure their well-being and conservation.
After spending time with the chimpanzees, you will be served a delicious lunch on the island while enjoying the serene surroundings. Thereafter, you may choose to explore the island or board the boat back to Entebbe where a guide will be waiting to drive you back to the hotel or residence.
