Our 6-Day Rwanda Uganda Safari guide/driver picks you at 8:30 am from your hotel or place of residence in Kigali. Kigali city Tour with a visit to Genocide Memorial, Kimironko market and later drive to Uganda. Mgahinga National Park highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps.

Just like gorilla trekking, golden monkey tracking starts with tourists arriving at the park headquarters by 7:30am for pre-tracking briefing (on the dos and don’ts of tracking the golden monkeys). The actual trek begins at 8:00am. Hiking through the forests to sight the golden monkeys is not so strenuous like gorilla trekking because golden monkeys live in lower areas, so tourists do not track for more than 3 hours. When tourists encounter the golden monkey family, they are given one hour to spend with them (to take photographs and observe their behavior). With this activity, there is no minimum number of tourists who track each group and age limit is 12 years.

Begin the day of 6-Day Rwanda Uganda Safari with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc the 6-Day Rwanda Uganda Safari guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth.

The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. The afternoon is spent on a village walk. The Rushaga Village Walk gives you a great opportunity to see how the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Also is a great way to support the local community in a direct way.

On Day 4, begin with a transfer to the Ishasha Sector, famed for its unique tree-climbing lions. Witness these majestic predators lounging in the fig trees, a rare and captivating sight. Continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park and embark on an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll enjoy close encounters with hippos, elephants, buffalo, and a myriad of bird species. This immersive experience showcases the park’s rich biodiversity. After the cruise, proceed to Kibale Forest for an overnight stay, setting the stage for further exploration of Uganda’s lush tropical landscapes.

On Day 5, embark on an exhilarating chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale National Park, home to the highest density of primates in Africa. In the afternoon, take a guided walk-through Bigodi Swamp, a biodiverse wetland sanctuary teeming with unique flora and fauna, including various bird species, monkeys, and butterflies.
