Day 1: Bird Watching in Mabamba Swamp
Your 1-Day Mabamba Swamp Birding Tour guide will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel or residence and drive you to Mabamba Swamp. When you reach the swamp, you will use a canoe (wooden boat) to go through the swamp on your quest to find the shoebill stork.
Apart from the shoebill, you will be able to see many other bird species like the papyrus gonolek, blue-breasted bee-eater, red-headed lovebird, and sun-billed stork. You will have lunch in Entebbe and thereafter visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, where you can spot birds such as the orange weaver and orange tufted sunbird.
In the evening, you will be driven back to your residence in Entebbe or Kampala marking the end of your Mabamba Swamp Birding tour.
